IC CHARACTERISTICS
CURRENT CANON POINT: Near the end of the Rise of Skywalker, during the big final battle.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Scrappy, charming, and attractive. Poe has tan skin, dark hair with a curl to it, and dark expressive eyes to match. He walks with a determined and confident sort of stride, and there's often a playful expression on his face if things aren't going to shit. He wears his late mother's wedding ring, worn on a chain around his neck.
DEMEANOR: Confident, charming, playful. He quips and jokes even/especially in serious moments, though he does have a more earnest side to him.
ABILITIES:

'Best Pilot in the Resistance' - Poe has been flying since he was six years old, and most definitely has inherited his mother's skills. While he primarily pilots an x-wing, he often boasts that he can 'fly anything'. He was able to figure out the controls to a TIE fighter in a matter of minutes, while under fire, and has also been shown to be capable of piloting a Pinnacle-class luxury ship, and a rundown freighter.

He is also noted as being quite fond of in atmospheric missions, which is apparently less common among starfighter pilots, enjoying 'soaring through skies and skimming the surfaces of planets'.

Military Training - Poe was a member of the New Republic Defense Fleet, serving as a Commander before he would eventually leave to join the Resistance, given the New Republic's refusal to take action against the First Order. He was trained by Wedge Antilles, Rebel veteran, and considered one of his best students.

In addition to his piloting skills, he is a capable infantryman, and skilled with unarmed combat.

Speaks/Understands Binary (27th generation droidspeak) - He can understand BB-8 without needing to read translated speech via console. This seems to be a relatively uncommon thing among pilots.

Speaks Basic - The language most commonly spoken in addition to whatever language may be native to your homeworld/species.

Leader - In a professional capacity, Poe has been the Captain/Commander of various Squadrons. He is a natural born sort of leader, charismatic, and inspiring great loyalty from his fellow pilots, making tough decision/calls. He is still learning what it takes to become the most capable leader he can be.

MEDICAL INFORMATION: Banged up and in need of a good meal. Poorly tended to blaster wound on his arm.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: The First Order, The Empire, hurting/wishing harm to BB-8, hurting/wishing harm to Finn. Feel free to bring them all up though.

MENTAL: Yes, BUT if done by force it will definitely trigger him.

VIOLENCE: Poe is a military man, and does know how to fight, but that doesn't guarantee he would win. He IS the type that won't quit even when he's loosing though. Fights/Violence are welcomed.
